This handle grip mounting is the replacement mounting piece that secures a refrigerator/freezer door handle to the door, restoring a solid, correctly aligned handle for normal opening and closing. What it does:
First of all, I should have taken it apart before I ordered parts. I thought all I needed was the handle and the door latch assembly. Ordered those parts and received them in 2 days. I soon found that there was another issue. The front panel has 2 plastic latches that the handle snaps in to. It also has a plastic stud that the handle screws to. One latch and the stud were broken.
