Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Our dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes no water pressure it seemed   Melissa F. • Falls Church , VA • June 06, 2015

I looked in the bottom of the dishwasher and saw that the center piece of the water wheel had somehow come loose. That center piece was lodged under the heating element and was now somewhat beaten and melted. We looked on line for an illustrated parts breakdown and found it on Appliance Parts Pros website. The diagram was so clear and straight forward that it was easy to see the part that we needed and another part (when we looked) we also found missing. Well, 3 days later the parts came in... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Dishwasher would fill then shut off when restarted it would try to fill again overflowing   Robert J. • Schererville , IN • July 02, 2016

I replaced the float switch. It was an easy enough repair. I didn't have to remove the dishwasher to do the work. The part is accessible from behind the front skirt. The only problem was there is not a lot of space to work in. Getting the fastener off and on requires a stubby nut driver. I used a flexible extension instead. I had to feel for the nut as the bottom of the door blocked my view. A ten minute job and the dishwasher is back in service (for half the cost of my local parts place) While... Read more

Got my son to fix it for me. He had to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter to reach the remaining part of the door latch. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking hose upper spray arm and drain hose replacement   Elizabeth D. • Afton , VA • May 19, 2015

Removed dishwasher to replace spray arm pine--I replaced washer on pipe, too, and would recommend doing this just on principal. Removing dishwasher requires disconnecting power, water, and drain line--tools will vary depending on connections. i replaced drain line because original install was not done correctly--hose too short--You could probably do just this w/o pulling unit. All parts arrived very quickly and fit correctly. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking at the front of the dishwasher and junk on the dishes after washing   Michael R. • Los Angeles , CA • March 08, 2016

Part I ordered was not the problem. The corners of the dishwasher were loaded with garbage, grease and other foodstuffs. I digitally cleaned out the corners, re-seated the door seal and used a cleaner in the machine. Did two courses of cleaning. Also needed to clean the pump screen and top of the pump. Lots of junk there. All of this fixed the leaking and the junk on the dishes. Hardest part was loosening the duct from the top impeller to the pump. Read more
