Whirlpool shaking Willy P. • Victorville , CA • May 19, 2019
Weekend laundry became very noisy, our 1987 Whirlpool washer began doing a dance across the floor and the drum was banging into the inner cabinet. After doing some research and watching a few videos on Appliance parts pros website. I inspected the washer and noticed one leg the rubber coating disintegrated, decided to change all four legs, springs and lid switch. Hardest part of the job is getting the cabinet together. Ops check good.

The Dryer Door Latch Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It ensures the dryer door stays securely closed during operation, allowing the dryer to function correctly and safely. This kit typically includes the latch, strike, and necessary mounting hardware for easy installation.
Causes of a bad door latch can include wear and tear from frequent use, accidental damage from forceful closing, or alignment issues due to the door being knocked out of place. A faulty latch can prevent the dryer from starting or cause it to stop mid-cycle if the door doesn't stay closed.
Symptoms of a bad dryer door latch include:
- The dryer door not staying closed
- The dryer not starting or stopping unexpectedly during a cycle
- Difficulty in closing or latching the door
- Loose or misaligned latch components
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Matrag dryer making loud squealing noise that changes constantly! Dwain A. • Mayfield , KY • June 05, 2015
Knowing that several things could be causing the noise, I ordered parts to cover all possibilities; once I got inside the dryer, I found the Idler Arm and Idler Pulley were worn and loose; replaced them and the Tumbler Bearings; the dryer now runs quiet again. Was going to replace the Drive Belt but believe it to be the wrong model, it was narrower and had 4 ribs whereas the old one seems to be OK and I believe has 5 ribs. The Drum Rollers and Shafts were OK Also replaced the Door Latch.

I smelled a little gas each time i opened the dryer door i called the gas company and the service man found the nut on the union was split Richard B. • Oak Creek , WI • April 11, 2015
A plumbing supply store found the part on the internet with a Whirlpool part #. I found that number on the website of another parts supplier (Appliance Zone) but it did not have a picture of the part. It was called a gas connector, and I ordered the part. It arrived quickly, but the name on the parts bag was "elbow". It was only the elbow. I couldn't believe that someone would sell half of a union. I did more searching and found your website which had a picture and description of a "Elbow Union...

Dryer squealing on startup Sandy R. • Manhattan , KS • September 08, 2015
I replaced the belt, belt tension pulley, both dryer drum roller axles and both drum support rollers. Although I bought 2 tumbler bearing kits, because those still look good I am saving them for when they go bad. The videos were fantastic! I also took pictures as I went of wiring so there would be no question where things went when reassembling. It should be noted some models have extra terminals near the sensor terminals... just be aware and look closely/take pics as you are taking things...
