The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws. This dryer is 9 years old. The dryer heated intermittently, the igniter, flame sensor and all temperature snap switches checked good, continuity. I replaced the gas valve coils and then the gas valve but the problem remained. The problem was the thermistor. A good thermistor reads about 10 ohms, at 70 degrees, with a multimeter, my thermistor read open. With a good thermistor the dryer heats like new.
