Replaced heating element about three months ago. Had to order thermistor because of error code "ts" on display and dryer would not run. Removed the two screws on the back that holds the top in place. After removing the top, remove the screws that hold the control panel on front. Make sure not to break the tabs that help hold it in place You do not have to unplug any connectors for the control panel. This dryer is 9 years old. The dryer heated intermittently, the igniter, flame sensor and all temperature snap switches checked good, continuity. I replaced the gas valve coils and then the gas valve but the problem remained. The problem was the thermistor. A good thermistor reads about 10 ohms, at 70 degrees, with a multimeter, my thermistor read open. With a good thermistor the dryer heats like new.
