This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. As I opened the top of my washer to fix a F35 error by replacing the water level switch, which worked out great and it fixed the issue, I noticed a rusting spot at the bottom of the washer just under where the motor is placed. I first replaced the drive motor which was no longer wanting to spin or rinse clothes. It was completely dead in my 10 year old washer. Once I replaced, it would run, but give the F06 code. I then replaced the CPU and runs like a new machine. Very easy repairs made in less than an hour by a stay at home mom with little ones wanting to help. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Had to Replace the Rear Basket Half which included the Bearings. Took my time to make sure I did it right, but everything went smoothly and finished it in a few hours. Was a bit intimidated at first, but just started removing everything one step at a time and eventually had the basket removed.
