Karla G Keldron , SD September 21, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer GHW9100LW2 Bad drive motor and cpu I first replaced the drive motor which was no longer wanting to spin or rinse clothes. It was completely dead in my 10 year old washer. Once I replaced, it would run, but give the F06 code. I then replaced the CPU and runs like a new machine. Very easy repairs made in less than an hour by a stay at home mom with little ones wanting to help. If I can do it, anyone can do it. Great videos on this website help you to know what you will be doing prior to making the repair. Highly recommend this website. Parts are a little pricier than other sites, but they stand behind their products and make it a breeze to do your own repairs on your own time. I was dreading hauling my machine up out of our basement for a new one, so I thought if I could make the repairs, it would be worth it. It was worth it in every way. The repairs were easier than I thought they would be. Highly recommend this site for all your appliance parts. James B Page , AZ February 01, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer GHW9300PW2 Noise on spin cycle Opened up the back of washer after watching video on your web site that told of possible noise coming from drum bearing and seal. Upon removal of top and back cover I was happy to see that the drum bearing was not leaking. I took the belt off and spun the drum and it was quiet and then spun the motor and the noise was coming from the motor. Also noticed the right rear Shock Absorber was covered with a rusty look and the area around the base below it was covered with brown dried up grease. I consider myself lucky that only had to replace motor and shock and not have to split the drum and all that other stuff. Hope to get another 5 years out of this washer. William H Garden City , NY September 25, 2018 Appliance: Maytag Washer MHWE950WW01 F25 error code Trouble shooting needed to be more specific. There were 5 pins to check. 3 are load and 2 were for the tachometer. The load (red white & blue/go USA) should have a reading, in pairs of 1-7 ohms on multimeter. The 2 small RED wire pins should have the reading of 115 ohms. Mine showed zero, hence the tachometer on the back of the drive motor did not work. You can't buy, per say, the tachometer in this country. Or you can wait weeks. Most of the forums and videos I saw said the most common problem was the MCU (motor control unit). Check the motor first. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Socket Set
