I took the door off via the top torx screw pin, then pryed apart the plastic trim piece that surrounds the inner window pane with the mesh screen. I removed the inside window panel which was a little tricky, and replaced the door handle. I did it with nothing more than a flathead, Phillips, and a torx. • Won't start

In addition to blown fuse; the fuse holder was melted at one end. Checked the unit to see if any part or wiring that would cause the issue, none was visible. Referred to wiring diagram included inside to identify components, including interlocks. All seemed functional. Bought replacement 20A fuse. Fuse holder no longer available so bought similar unit with 25A rating - little retrofitting. Put unit back together, and it's working so far. Wife is happy. Read more

Replaced the Humidity sensor, Thermistor and door switches. I replaced these thinking the problem was one of the items but didn't want to trial and error one part at a time. Plus the cost was reasonable so if these didn't help I wasn't out a lot of money. I sense the door switch was the problem. Replaced all items and the microwave works great. I researched the problem. Found the solution online and ordered parts from AppliancePartsPros.com. It only took a screwdriver to make the repair. The only confusion I had is my model of microwave had a double diode, and the one sent to me (by model number) was a single diode. I wasn't sure what to do, either install the new single one or put the old double unit in. I went with the new single diode, and it works fine. I ordered a new magnetron and a new capacitor and after they arrived I set to work. I took plenty of pictures with my phone to remind me how the components came apart but it was pretty straight forward. Once the new parts were in and everything was reassembled the microwave worked good as new. The repair was less than a third the cost of replacement and no special tools are required.
