• Won't start

In addition to blown fuse; the fuse holder was melted at one end. Checked the unit to see if any part or wiring that would cause the issue, none was visible. Referred to wiring diagram included inside to identify components, including interlocks. All seemed functional. Bought replacement 20A fuse. Fuse holder no longer available so bought similar unit with 25A rating - little retrofitting. Put unit back together, and it's working so far. Wife is happy. Read more

Replaced magnatron and wire-vltg. First magnatron I ordered came in had damaged frame and tip I decided to install it any way to see if it worked, unfortunately it didn't. I called appliance parts pros and explained what the problem was, the women was very nice and accommodating she sent one out the very next day. I installed the new one and it worked perfectly. Removed microwave from the built in cabinet (probably the hardest part) and took off top cover (screws on side and back). Had previously blown the power fuse 2 times in this microwave, so I checked the fuse first using an ohmmeter. This time fuse was good. Traced the power wires around to top side of microwave and saw the overheat "therm" switch. I believe the therm is installed there as a safety feature to open the power circuit to the microwave in case something was to overheat for any... Read more

After receiving the part, I found I had to dismantle the left side of the handle in order to fix the right side that was broken. When I took the left side of the handle off I found the plastic piece that broke on the right side was about to break on the left side also. Having all the details and in advance of another broken handle, I ordered the part, just to have when it breaks. Read more
