Per a similar story and recommendation from one of the guys at AppliancePartsPros, I replaced the temperature control switch in the rear of the machine. Most time consuming part was locating the screws I dropped! Washer works like new again. Easy fix. I installed all the necessary parts that I received from you and it works great, now. I received the parts in good time without overnighting them. We replaced the lid hinges with new bushings as this is a very old machine and they were worn out affecting the position of the hinges and thereby affecting the lid switch.
