Fix a burnt or melted lid switch connector causing your washer to be completely dead. This terminal receptacle restores power to the lid switch.
Researched this kenmore washer on-line and found the problem to be the lid switch. Saw a diagram on how to jump this switch by connecting a wire to both outside wires on the harness and voila! It worked! This is not a fix but it allowed me to finish the load of unwashed clothes and told me which part was bad (do not run washer jumped like this.......fire hazard!) Ordered the lid switch and it was an easy repair. A $14.00 switch was a lot cheaper than a $450.00 washer. Thanks appliance parts... Read more

Two 6-foot braided inlet hoses with 90-degree ends for washer water connections. Replace kinked, aged, or worn hoses to restore proper filling.
I had a problem with the drain pump on my Kenmore HE3 and I replaced it using a drain pump I ordered from APP. That fixed that problem but once I started running the washer I started getting a FH error code. I looked it up and found that it was a problem with the washer not filling properly. I pulled the washer out and found that one of the fill hoses had kinked when I pushed the washer back in place. There was also some writing on the hose that read "Change hose every five years". I know I had... Read more

Fixes grinding noise or basket won't spin issues by disengaging the brake during spin cycles. Restores smooth operation when cam wears out or breaks.
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in... Read more

Secures wiring harness to washer top panel. Replace this clip if original is broken, missing, or no longer holding wires firmly in place during operation.
Fixing the problem was quite simple. First, I removed the lid assembly (thanks to the diagrams supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com!). Getting the back two screws out was very difficult because I couldn't see them from the front and I could not move the unit out of the enclosed space. After some trial and error, I located the screws which were 5/16 hex head screws and removed them with a MAGNETIC nut driver. (The magnet assures that the screw will not drop down into the mechanism). Second, I... Read more
