Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You After moving the washing machine to our new house water dripped into tub with machine off   Stephen B. • Germanton , NC • January 11, 2017

I replaced the fill valve assembly with a new one. Had to look carefully at the parts diagrams to make sure I ordered the right one since the serial number break old vs. new didn't seem to match the number on my machine. On this particular machine you don't need to pull it out too far from the wall-leave the hoses connected to the valve, remove the screw holding the valve bracket, and pull into the washing machine where you can easily access the hose ends. A putty knife is needed to open... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Loud noise like jet engine during fast spin   Ping J. • Southborough , MA • June 15, 2021

I suspected the main bearing had worn out, and I was right. It is a difficult job, because I am retired, I had the time. During disassembly, I found the hub had rusted really bad, it needed replacement. I did not buy special tools. The manufacturer repair manual says to use three OEM tools, I made some tools with wood. Simon's video is a big help. Now the washer is quiet, time will tell how good a job I did. This is the first time I opened up a washer, the second time would be much easier. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You After a power outage, all the lights on dial would light up and flash twice, every 15 seconds or so and while starting a cycle, water would run for about 15 seconds and shut off.   Philip S. • Alexandria , VA • March 22, 2014

I read one of the other reviews which was identical to my situation. It appears that the control board was damaged from a power outage. I ordered the part early Saturday morning and it came in on Tuesday (standard shipping was used). After unscrewing the 3 screws that held the upper panel on, I was able to lower the panel, unplug all the wires connected to the control board, removed the control board (held in by plastic clips), snap the new one in and plugged all the wiring back onto the...
