I unplugged the fridge and took all the food and shelving out of the freezer and then proceeded to take off the bottom sliding drawer rack on both sides off (4 Phillips head screws). Then took off the light bulb cover and then the light bulb. Then the back wall that covers the coils and tubes that the refrigerant runs through ( 2 screws with hex head). The indication was that when I tried to use the icemaker or water dispenser, the green LED on the front would dim and the ice maker dispenser wouldn't work. We replaced the main circuit board and the LED started to work and the condenser fan worked, but all we had were relay clicking sounds, but no cooling. The compressor had become so hot trying to work when the main circuit board was amiss, that it had popped the over temperature sensor on its side. I replaced the water inlet valve. The toughest part was closing off the feed line while I waited for the valve to be delivered. The needle valve used to install the feed line wouldn't close completely. I ended up fabricating a plug from some parts from the hardware store. The mounting bracket on the new valve was completely different from the original, but it still mounted easily enough. Condenser fan stopped on my big 2003 Monogram 4 foot wide ZIS480D Refrigerator. It is top mounted. The fridge had to be rolled out. 20 screws removed and the top sheet metal to get at the condenser. That was the only way to get at it. Works like new now. Read more

I changed the motherboard - computer and also changed the motor in the freezer, because it was doing a howling sound every time it turned on. Pop out the old switches with a putty knife pressing down on the tab, grabbed with pliers to pull out, disconnect the wires and connect new switches, pressing back in place. Read more

We isolated a burning smell in our kitchen to our refrigerator, GE Profile PSS23MGTCCC which we purchased in November of 2006.
