Fridge running warm or uneven temps? This air tower assembly channels cold air through the refrigerator. Restores proper airflow and consistent cooling.
After checking the defrost heater to confirm it was ok. I replaced the main electronic board. That wasn't it. After 1 1/2 weeks, it frosted up again. I called and talked to a tech person at APP and then ordered the air tower, defroster thermostat, and temp sensor. I installed them all and the frig works great. I know replacing all those parts at once didn't confirm which one failed, but I just wanted it fixed. The cost was less than having a service call. The parts arrived the day after... Read more

Holds water filter securely and directs flow to dispenser or ice maker. Replace if filter won't stay sealed, water flow is slow, or leaks occur.
I ordered a filter housing, some plastic tubes to replace the leaking one and en extra connector which came really handy. I followed the videos and replaced parts pretty easily. It could have been done in as little as 15 minutes. But I started getting leaks and took me a while to play with water lines and changing connectors to stop the leak. Then I had to test it a few times to make sure it won't leak again. Read more

This is a blower fan motor designed to circulate cold air within the refrigerator's ice maker compartment to promote efficient ice production. It draws chilled air from the freezer section and directs it over the ice maker assembly. Replace this motor if ice production has slowed significantly, the ice maker area is warmer than normal, or you no longer hear the fan running.
Since it is difficult to get to the fans, I decided to replace both and avoid any future problems. I ordered the evap and duct fan motors and replaced both. I ordered the fans expecting it to take a week for delivery. They arrived the next day. The door of the freezer section must be removed, along with its slide rails to get to the cover panel in the rear of the freezer. Once the cover is removed, access to the motors is good and it's just unplug the old motors and plug in the new. I would... Read more

Secures the evaporator fan assembly behind the rear freezer panel. Replace if cracked, rusted, or missing to restore proper fan mounting and clearance.
The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Parts cost around... Read more

Chatted online with a an individual from Appliance Parts Pros regarding replacement bulbs and instructions for our GE Profile PSHW6YGXCDSS Side-By-Side Refrigerator and our GE Advantium SCA2001 Cooking Tool. Fastens refrigerator panels, brackets, and internal components. Replace this screw if the original is missing, stripped, or damaged to restore secure mounting.
Quickly on the face grille. Dismantled ice tray and inserted auger. Everything is pretty obvious for dismantling except the spring in the rod on the bottom (pay attention to how it is attached to the rod) and the plastic screw on the front of the auger (use pliers to grip it and it is reverse thread).
