This OEM part is a relay control board for ovens. An oven relay control board is a circuit board that receives signals from the main oven control board. The relay control board then relays the signal to regulate the oven's essential functions. Over time, a relay control board can become overworked. If the oven is no longer turning on, heating properly, or regulating its temperature, it might be time for a new relay board. Luckily, replacing this part is not a difficult process. To replace the relay board, make sure the oven is unplugged. Gain access to the upper back panel on the back of the range and remove the screws. Once the panel is removed access the relay board and remove the wire harness as well as any individual wires attached to the old board. Make sure to take note of the orientation of the wires. Replug the wires into their correct terminals on the new board and snap the new board back in place. Resecure the upper back panel. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore brand ovens.
Andrew helped me trouble shoot the problem. First I replaced the elments but that did not fix the problem. When I spoke with Andrew he told me how to test the OHMS on the new and old element and they were both readying 26 OHMS. I then replaced the control panel for the clock and oven controls. This did not fix the problem. The next step was to replace the relay boards. We placed numbers on the wires (~30) to avoid confusion. Taking notes also helped. Replacing both relay swithces took... I have a Frigidaire Professional double wall oven with run-away heat in the top oven. Checked the probes as the first step in diagnostics, they ohmed out OK. Did some research on several web sites, the issue seemed to center around the Controller being bad. I checked a few appliance web sites and Appliance Parts Pros (APP) was the only one who had the controller in stock and they had the best price by a few dollars. I did the online chat with APP and their conclusion matched my research; the... Read more
