Opened oven door to the fully opened position. Pulled up the the lock located on both hinge supports and engaged it in the hook of the hinge levers. This safety device monitors oven temperature and shuts off heating elements if temperatures exceed safe limits. Replace it if the oven overheats, fails to maintain set temperatures, or shuts off unexpectedly during normal cooking.
