This is a gas valve assembly, also referred to as a safety valve, that is used on an oven. It supplies gas for the bake and the broil burners of the oven.When this part is faulty, the user may notice that the broiler or the bake functions are not working properly. Basically, the oven will not heat in any way. Some users also report a gas smell coming from the unit when this part has gone bad. If this is the case, shut off the gas immediately until this part can be replaced. Make sure to disconnect the range and shut off the gas before replacing this part. Wear work gloves during this process.This gas valve assembly is sold individually. It is sourced straight from the manufacturer itself. This particular gas valve assembly is compatible with gas ovens that are manufactured by Bosch, including the Thermador and Gaggenau brands.
