Temp sensors (3 or them), new heater, then finally custom cool/fan and shroud to bring the fridge temp back up. I don't believe the sensors were bad as the checked fine with a millimeter, coil heater was bad as they were frozen solid, and the fan was intermittent. I originally thought I fixed with the coil heater, but the fridge stopped working about a day later. Discovered the problem using the door switch. When we inspected the first time we found that Plactic had broken from the spiral part that for wards the ice. Also there were cracks in two places of other parts. There was a hole in the bottom of the bin. The new spiral was assembled and two new parts were replaced with help from the video and the diagram and the unit worked well. This square beauty ring was snapped in place with about 12 small retaining studs that were part of the beauty ring. By using my fingernails I could pull out the ring a bit all the way around. After working my way around the ring 2-3 times it came loose in my hand without breaking. I then installed the new one by pressing it into place with the same retaining studs that gripped ring into place. Got replacement part Pan Kit 234DOM/MON. I needed the wire stand that holds the drawer too but GE discontinued it. When i otdered the above part it was reformatted so the wire frame is not needed. It was easy and works much better Read more
