Ordered parts and watched the videos provided by AppliancePartPros. Some of the parts were for repair purposes(old and worn out) but the other parts ordered were to get the dryer to dry properly. I also ordered one additional part , the two coils, and the dryer is working like the first time I purchased it. To have a repair man to just come out and diagnose the problem was $100.00. This is the door switch only. For the door switch including the mounting clip order LA-1005.
I first unplugged the dryer, lifted the top of the dryer, then removed two screws that hold the front panel to the side panels. I removed the cable clip that holds the wires for the switch to the front panel, and removed the wires from the switch. I then removed the switch from the clip that holds the switch in place. My original switch had only one connection at each end, but the replacement had two at one end and one at the other. The terminals at the one end were labeled NC and NO. I... Read more
