This center trim is the molded bezel that fits the front center of the cooktop/oven control area, restoring a finished look and protecting the control panel edges from heat and grime. What it does:
Creates airtight seal on oven door to prevent heat loss and maintain temperature. Replace if torn, cracked, or no longer sealing properly. Confirm fit.
The seal came with no clips, as video of repair showed. Also no instructions with part. After pondering the sisuation, found screw in both side of oven wall in front of oven and a clip at the top of the oven, held with screws. Took all the screws out, used a screw driver to move side and top wall enough to remove the old seal. Needle noose pliers very helpful in this process. start seal replace at top corner of oven. The installation was simple. I pulled the range away from the wall, took a measurement and screwed the bracket to the wall. Then slid the range back into place making sure the foot of the range went under the bracket. Read more

However, appliance parts pros made it easy to find the correct part; their onlne pic matched my part and I was comfortable purchasing from them. It shipped and I received it quickly. This retainer secures the oven door hinges in place and is located at the bottom corners of the oven door frame. Replace if the oven door sags, won't stay closed properly, or if the hinges appear loose or misaligned.

Turned power to oven off at breaker box. Opened oven door. Unscrewed 3 Phillips-head screws on chrome trim around control panel. Unscrewed 2 Phillips-head screws holding selector switch. Laid control panel down on top of closed oven door. Removed wires by hand from old switch and connected them to the same terminals on the new switch (the wire connectors pull off easily).
