Replaces broken or missing spring on French door refrigerator left door flapper assembly. Ensures flapper retracts properly when door closes for tight seal.
Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge. No problem to fix. I already did it before. I believe, Samsung poor design or poor quality of material for the rail, or both are the root cause of the problem and the need of periodical repairs of this part. Another unpleasant detail - the rail arrived without small wheel that is part of it. I had to extract this wheel from the broken rail and insert it into the new one.
