Bought new case-ice-route from AppliancePros.com for Samsung Refrig RF267ABRS. Part arrived intact and on-time. On my Samsung model, the original part has a chute (clear piece) with a molded channel for the water dispensing tube to sit in. Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge. Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. Ordered parts to reattach the handle online. I ordered an array of parts totaling $60, including 2 nylon pins that may have been right and left. Only one worked so hopefully that was the reason - not clear on the parts list. End caps are plastic and broken tabs trying to put them on so they are glued in place. Ordered replacement clips. The replacements don't come with screws or the caps to cover the screws, so save all the hardware aside from the plastic hinges. You need to order the upper and lower halves of the hinges. The repair was very quick and easy, took about 5 minutes to attach the hinges to the shelf, and screw the shelf back into the side of the ice maker. Very happy to have the shelf back. Read more
