It looked pretty simple, so I got my 2 screw drivers and unplugged the refrigerator and started. The hardest part was removing the upper and lower hinges. Repair required removing all of the interior drawers & shelves and the interior back panel. There you will find the defrost heater. Behind the defrost heater is a metal plate as well as one on the back of the front interior cover. Both were corroded and in need of replacement. I ordered Samsung part #’s AP5577767, plate drain & AP5587916, evaporator plate and replaced both. Read more

First off I unplugged the refrigerator. I removed the meat tray, and the three screws on either side. The screws hold the meat tray drawer guides. I then removed the vegetable drawer, the fruit drawer, and the shelf above the two drawers, these did not have screws. Removed the one screw that held the damper motor housing. No problem to fix. I already did it before. I believe, Samsung poor design or poor quality of material for the rail, or both are the root cause of the problem and the need of periodical repairs of this part. Another unpleasant detail - the rail arrived without small wheel that is part of it. I had to extract this wheel from the broken rail and insert it into the new one.
