I found AppliancePartsPros online and they had exact replacements of the burner caps. The website easily listed the part numbers that the caps replaced (since Kennmore no longer had them). The bonus was that they were available in a shiny black which looks so much more attractive on my stove. I did have to get the grates from another company. Read more

Replaced the ignitor glow bar and deflector oven (which had a hole burned through it). Screws stripped upon disassembly of original deflector oven and needed to be replaced as well. Read more
The previous tenant in my daughter's new apartment apparently had a grease fire of sorts in the GE XL44 gas oven. This left the insulating double glass panes so fouled up that one could not see into the oven. I removed the oven door (just lifts off the hinges) and proceeded to disassemble the door so as to get to the glass panes. That's when the real problems arose: the window seal rope, which lays around the edge of the opening to the oven, was burnt to a crisp -- see photos. The oven... Read more
Replaced the glass. Unfortunately I thought if I bought the OEM kit it would have the 2 pieces of glass, the inner frame and the sealer. It did have the inner frame and although the model number ordered was the same, the inner frame was incorrect. I took it apart and used the original. I could have purchased 1 piece of tempered 1/4 thick "rectangle glass for 1/2 the cost. The job is done, took about 20 mins and we "live and learn" on replacement parts. Read more
