I replaced the temperature sensor, the thermo fuse, and the heating element that thaws the evaporator on a cycle to keep the evaporator from freezing up. The most time consuming part of the repair was waiting for the fridge to thaw out so that I could remove the cover. I disconnected the fridge the night before and placed a fan on low with the doors open so that it was thawed out when I awoke. Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge. Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Ordered parts to reattach the handle online. I ordered an array of parts totaling $60, including 2 nylon pins that may have been right and left. Only one worked so hopefully that was the reason - not clear on the parts list. End caps are plastic and broken tabs trying to put them on so they are glued in place. Bolt also had to be replaced and was already taped with Teflon, presumably from the original Samsung install, and might have been the reason for the handle failure. Anyway, all is well... Read more
