Because the washer would stop mid cycle and would start again after some period of time, I presumed that there was something amiss in the drive train (i.e. motor, transmission, belt). Took the unit apart and discovered that two of the three brake pads were destroyed. Motor turned easily as did the transmission. Replaced the brake pads and reassembled. Counterweight spring for washer tub suspension system. Connects between tub leg assembly and base. Replace if broken, detached, or overstretched.
Store that sold the washer could not get the parts needed for 3 weeks due to delivery from factory. I told them I could get them with a week, I did and I was able to get a repairman in to do the job in 2 hours. Thanks to you. Prevents oil leaks from the transmission area. Replace if you see oil puddles under your washer. Confirm fit with your model number before ordering.
I had a lot of problems removing the spin hub, I had to use an air impact wrench to un screw it even then it was very hard, it did not go easy with the hammer & pipe wrench as shown in the video. It was also very hard to remove the bottom spin bearing I had to cut the bearing retainer with a dremel tool so I could get my puller on it.
