Push-button cap for dishwasher control panels. Replaces broken, cracked, or missing buttons to restore control functionality and panel appearance.
Removed 10 Star Screws to get the door cover off and the fascia panel snapped off. Inserted the 6 buttons and the door handle into the facia panel prior to snapping it in place. Screwed the door cover back in place and the job was done. The facia has two tabs that need to be inserted into the door. Be careful not to crack them as they seem fragile. Secures panels, brackets, and trim pieces inside your dishwasher. Replace this fastener if stripped, missing, or damaged to restore tight assembly.
First I removed the three screws thathold in the trim and thought that the piece would just pop out. I was wrong. I had to remove the front door cover in order to remove the trim piece. Once removed the new piece snapped right into place. Screwed the front panel back on, and then replaced the three screws that hold the trim piece in. Took door off, saw that dispenser linkage was ok, I could open and close by hand, so figured the wax motor or the wiring to it were most likely the problem. I took off the wax motor ( actuator) and ran 120 volts to it via jumper wires, and it did not move at all, so figured good chance that was the problem.
