Randy E Hancock , ME September 01, 2017 Appliance: Model BOSH DISHWASHER The top plastic panel facia which houses the handle to open the door broke the panel is held on with two screws at the bottom which is a stress point and design flaw The parts from AppliancePartsPros.com arrived a day ahead of schedule. (I'm a big APP.com fan.) I removed the metal front door panel, then removed the broken plastic Panel-Facia which houses the handle. Because the buttons and handle trim needed to be transferred from the old Panel-Facia to the new one, I expected that, also being plastic, they may break when making the transfer, so I ordered all of those parts as well, which only drove the cost up about $32. If I broke one item in the transfer, then it would have delayed the fix and incurred additional shipping costs. Sure enough when I removed the handle trim, one of the plastic detents cracked. Murphy's Law. The plastic door handle is located at the top of the door. Dishwashers produce heat; heat rises; heat vents; plastic gets brittle when exposed to temperature fluctuations. Time required to replace the parts was fast; maybe 15 - 20 minutes cover to cover. Take it slow and be gentle with the plastic parts. Dave H Watkinsville , GA February 22, 2021 Top panel facia broke after several years. I ordered a new Panel/Facia and bought replacement buttons just to be safe. All were pretty easy, but two things to BE CAREFUL about that are important. First, watch the videos about how to remove and replace the facia panel because if you do it improperly you will easily break the plastic tabs and be screwed. Secondly, The five-button MUST BE INSTALLED IN THE RIGHT ORDER. They are different from each other and the DW will not work if you don't notice that, they have letters that are stamped on them and on the spots they go in the panel. Because I missed that detail, I kept thinking I had gotten them in a bind somehow snapping it in place, but they were out of order. Otherwise, if I had to do it again, it would only take me about 15 minutes. Larry L Gallatin , TN October 28, 2017 Appliance: Bosch Dishwasher SHE45M06UC/50 The control panel fascia broke where it attaches to the metal part of the door. I replaced the panel fascia and handle strip. I ordered the buttons in case they needed to be replaced also. The hardest part was replacing the bottom part of the door front. Another hand would have been nice, but I made it work. It took about an hour total.
