This is a small clip or holder that secures the tine rows in the dishwasher's upper or lower dishrack. Leak was slow but becoming gradually worse. Pulled dishwasher out from under counter then visually inspected sump while it ran. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success. Contrary to a great YouTube explaining how to disassemble dishwasher to replace sump, I did not have to completely remove the bottom. I only pulled the bottom frame away from tub at the front enough to snake sump assembly out. I was successful in eliminating sump leak but then the pump/heater connection leaked after reassembling. The dishwasher is 9 years old and the pump port rubber was hardened. I would recommend if the sump is replaced, the pump should also be replaced. Read more
