This contact spade is a push-on electrical terminal used to connect an appliance wire lead to a component's blade. Replacing a worn or heat-damaged connector restores a secure fit and consistent power flow.
Full disassembly of removable tray into top plate (stainless) and lower pan taking care not to loose fasteners. Replace cracked, broken, or shattered inner door glass on your oven. Installs between door panels in the window frame assembly. Reuses existing frame.
Removed 3 screws on top of door, 3 screws on bottom if door which released glass front. Then removed 4 nuts on sheet metal window cover to get to window. To get to the broken glass there was one tab on the corner of the window frame that had to be bent upward to loosen the frame. Removed the broken glass, slid in the new glass, re tightened the frame and put everything back together. This is a blower wheel used in the downdraft exhaust ventilation system of a range or cooktop. It mounts on the motor shaft and draws smoke, steam, and cooking odors down and out through the vent ductwork. Replace this part if the exhaust fan is noisy, vibrating excessively, or not moving air effectively despite the motor running.
I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. I had to remove the oven door, which I learned is made to come off without tools. Then took out the bottom by removing two screws and lifting. Removed the screws attaching the igniter, pulled wires thru back until I could get the connector and disconnect. When the new igniter arrived, I had to change the connector. I cut the one off the old one, and spliced to the new one using solder and shrink tubing. Just reverse the procedure to install. I replaced the screws with new ones. Read more

I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Oven won't heat or stops heating during cleaning cycle? The high-limit safety switch cuts power when temperatures exceed safe limits. Moderate DIY fix.
Started with checking temp control in the oven. Worked fine. Next was testing high limiter switch. Every place stated switch was on the back panel, found mine place under the right burner cartridge. Took some finagling to expose it. Bought a new one, two wires to disconnect along with two small screws to secure switch, slapped it in and I was in business. Had friend test relay board with multimeter. I ordered a replacement board from appliance pros. This restored all oven functions. Easy fix for a do it yourselfer... Just connecting all wires to new board in proper order then testing took 15 to 20 minutes. I also suggest pre-testing bake and broil elements, oven temp. probe, and oven thermostat as pointed out in troubleshooting guide before ordering new board. Read more
