The Evaporator Fan Motor Kit is an OEM part compatible with GE refrigerators. Replaced the evaporator fan motor, fan blade, and two rubber grommets. I was careful to mark screws and bolts with sticky notes to ensure getting them back in the right place. I had all the new parts ready before I started the job because I did not have an extra freezer for my food and I wanted to do this quickly and only once. Fridge was making clicking noise and not cooling. Ice dispenser wasn’t working either. Research lead me to believe main board was out. YouTube video said to also replace compressor start relay and overload as well. Replaced all 3 parts in 15 minutes and back up and running. Read more

Ok so my mom called GE and a service man came out. He said no good. The refrigerator was to old to be fixed. You will have to buy a new one .. ok so with that said he collected his $100 dollars service fee !!! I slid the refer out and started tinkering with it.
