The Fan Blade Grommet is an OEM replacement part for GE brand refrigerators. Located behind the evaporator fan blade where its central shaft passes through, this rubber sealing piece creates a protective barrier isolating the fan assembly.
Causes of a potentially problematic fan blade grommet include cracks or deterioration that develop from continuous vibration and impacts over extended use. Exposure to temperature fluctuations can also cause the rubber to harden and lose elasticity.
Symptoms of a faulty fan blade grommet include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore model refrigerators.

I ordered 2 new gaskets, one for the freezer and another for the refrigerator. These arrived within a few days. I soaked both in the bathtub filled with hot water for about 20 minutes. My grandson installed both gaskets without any trouble. I duck taped on the freezer door to allow it to 'seep' with the cold air inside the freezer unit as I was told this would help make a better seal. I waited 48 hours before removing the tape and opening the door. So far, I'm very happy with my 'new'... Read more

The front wheel assembly replacement (WRXO2X12454) was straightforward and easy to do. Took maybe 30 minutes start to finish. The rear wheel assembly (wheel WRO2X10695 and axle WRO1X10604) that was more involved as the original wheel axle is actually a rivet that you have to cut out. 1. I used a vibrating multitool with a carbide blade to cut the axle out. Had to use a pair of vise grips to hold the rivet to keep it from spinning while cutting it. 2. The new axle I drilled a 2mm hole thru the... Read more

The Ice Door Spring is an OEM part compatible with GE refrigerators. It is responsible for providing tension and support to the ice chute door, allowing it to open and close smoothly. When you activate the ice dispenser, the spring helps to release the door and allow the ice to pass through. After dispensing, the spring assists in closing the door to prevent cold air leakage and maintain the desired temperature inside the refrigerator.
You should replace the ice door spring if it loses tension or breaks, which can happen due to regular wear and tear, frequent use, or accidental damage. A faulty spring can lead to issues with the ice dispenser's operation and overall efficiency.
Symptoms of a bad ice door spring may include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
The ice dispenser door was not closing tightly. As a result, there was frost build up in the ice chute, which also was allowing ambient air and temperature into the freezer compartment. Upon further inspection, there was black “schmutz” on the ice door, and the rubber ice funnel and deflector parts were deteriorating. Because the door was not closing tightly, I also assumed that the door-closing spring was week. The parts I ordered were: ice door assembly, ice funnel, ice deflector, spring and... Read more
This is a end cap for the right side of the shelf.
It was a challenge...the shelf unit consists of two plastic end brackets and a long metal shelf. I possessed one original end cap while the metal shelf was inadvertently discarded years ago along with the other broken end bracket. For a few years some white duct tape was pressed into service as a "temporary" bottom shelf. Anyway, I searched for the necessary parts online and found and ordered a new end cap on AppliancePartsPros.com and a new metal shelf from another online vendor. The new end... Read more

This is in a 15 year old Built-in Monogram that had the compressor replaced a few years ago. Before discovering the motor failure I replaced the main board since a Refrigeration Contractor I know said that if it wasn't bad it would be soon since those parts typically only last around eight years. The motor replacement is pretty simple; more time is spent getting to the motor and re-assembling everything than actually changing the motor. The trickiest part is getting the fan set correctly on... Read more
