The control board on my LG washing machine died. An LG authorized repairman said that a replacement part was unavailable. Next day, I found the part on AppliancePartPros.com. FedEx delivered it two days later, and with just a bit of effort, I managed to remove and replace the dead control board myself. This is a main control board intended for use with washing machines. This is the part that controls all of the functions on the appliance. This includes managing each cycle.When this part fails, the controls will not work properly. When the button to start the wash is pressed, nothing will happen. It is also possible that some functions will work while others won't. The appliance may also display an LE error code. In some cases, the washing machine will not turn on, fill, spin, or drain. If the cycle does start, it will likely stop working after a few seconds if this part has gone bad. Persistent LE code despite swapping the Hall sensor. Wiring harness checked out ok from sensor and motor to the motherboard.with low resistance values and no changes with moving the wiring bundles, so I assumed no internal wiring breaks. Replaced motherboard and so far this seems to have corrected the problem. Read more

Before ordering, please look at original board and contacts. LG uses two different boards and your model may use 6871ER1003C
Due to burnt wires, the whole wire harness had to be replaced as well as the power cord. The dryer was taken apart, removing the control panel and drum to access all of the wires and connection points. The old wire harness removed and the new wire harness installed. This was done systematically so as to ensure the new wire harness followed the exact same routing. Read more
