The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge. Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. I ordered a new mode selector and new tub bearing. Upon disassembly, I noticed that the plastic outer tub had actually heated up around the tub bearing and tub seal area, such that the new tub seal did not fit tightly. The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Upon opening the front cover of my GE washing machine, I found the water pump/brake was not spinning as it should when the drain/spin cycle was starting. Replaced the hub nut, tub bearing split ring, tub seal, hub washer and agitator coupler. I watched multiple times the APP video. It was extremely helpful and I would not have attempted this without seeing the video. I had a lot of trouble getting the hub nut off. I used an 1 5/8" 6 point strike box wrench and a 4# hammer to get it off. I sprayed it with WD 40 5 or 6 times over of the course of a week to let it soak. I finally got it off.
