Replaced console electronics. ($$$) Unplugged unit. Removed two 1/4" drive screws on rear of unit to remove top. Unplugged control housing from machine electronics. Released plastic tabs on control housing that hold housing to cabinet (six total - one on either side, three on top and one in center on bottom of housing - which easy to miss and therefore breaks). Drying clothes. found dry clothes and dryer off. put in next load. when press start, F-01 error. unplugged dryer and flipped breaker. waited half hour. plugged back in and turned breaker on. nothing doing. same F-01 error. unplugged dryer again. moved dryer out and checked the exhaust port for blockage. clean. left unplugged and unscrewed bottom panel to get manual. reconnected exhaust and power cord. did diagnostic per manual to rule out other faults/errors as this electronic control board is... Kit contains total of 8 screws. Approximate size - (Qty.4) #10-32 x 7/16" and (Qty.4) #10-24 x 7/16".
Isolated door switch and tested switch through harness wires. Continuity found with both switch depressed and pressed on same wires. Ordered switch Wednesday night and it arrived the following Tuesday to east coast home. Read more
