After continually ignoring my wife's suggestion to call an appliance repairman and finally deciding that I needed to replace the drain pump motor assembly due to worn out bushings on the impeller, I placed the order. Receiving the part and getting mentally ready for the challenge of removing and replacing pump assembly was quite nerve racking. Removed the rear panel, top lid and found burnt belt and what appeared to be worn out plastic dampers/shocks on bottom of drum. I had called several repairmen and they were all 7-10 days behind. I live in a small town, 60 miles from a metro area and there are very few qualified techs to work on my washer dryer, i was told.
