This is a replacement washing machine control board. It acts as the washer's brain and controls functions like filling the drum, spinning, agitating, and emptying. It contains no moving components, but heat and moisture can cause corrosion. Soldered parts can also fail over time. Signs that the washing machine control board will need to be replaced include erratic operation, inaccurate operation, and failure to operate at all.Replacing the washing machine control board will first require unplugging the machine. Next, disassemble the upper control panel assembly. The control board is located on the right side, under the cowling. It is held in place with clips that must be released to extract the board. Make sure to gently disconnect the wiring harness and then connect it to the replacement board. Install the new control board and then reassemble the entire panel.This genuine OEM part is designed for Whirlpool, Roper, Estate, and KitchenAid branded washing machines. It is sold individually.
