Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Leaking water and oil strange noises not agitating with full load   Charles N. • Plainview , NY • March 06, 2016

Replaced transmission and brake assembly. The video on appliancepartspros.com was very helpful. A few comments: 1) On my model, there was no wiring harness to unhook to detach the lid switch, as was shown on the video. Instead, I had to remove the switch itself. Underneath, one of the short edges of the switch has a clip that you depress, and then you can poke the switch up. Once it's loose, then you can turn it a bit and work it down through the hole so it's free of the lid. 2) The tub nut may... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer would fill with water but not spin or agitate   Christian C. • Sevierville , TN • November 03, 2014

Its alive!! After a recent power surge, our washer would not spin or agitate. I tried replacing the timer but the motor still would not spin or agitate. I was really hoping the motor was not fried. I replaced the fuse and its working like a champion again! I un-installed the new timer, put the original timer back in, and it still works great, so I even get to return the new timer and save a little money. Thanks for the generous return policy! Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer - tube won't spin   Tate B. • Casper , WY • March 12, 2014

Wife calls - it's broke. Home from work, immediately suspected clutch, V-belt or similar. Could hear the motor running. Founda video on youtube showing how to remove front panel. Looked. Sure enough, motor runs - nothing else turns. Figured the clutch was fragged. Order new clutch. When it arrives, pull the old one off. Mmm, that came apart rather easily - video said I'd have to drive the retaining clip off - but this one all but fell off. Put new clutch in and it slid up the motor shaft all... Read more
