Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You LE error code drum does not spin   David S. • Victoria , TX • May 18, 2019

I initially replaced the rotator sensor located on the stator assembly. That didn’t fix the problem. So I ordered the stator assembly and the wire harness. After replacing both parts, the washer works great. Not sure if it was the stator or the harness but felt I would leave it as is to prevent any future problems that may occur with old parts. Thanks to appliance part pros for the videos and quick delivery of parts. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer started vibrating and smoking when spinning the door seal showed damage from the inner tub and the inner tub had a lot of up and down play in it   Dan R. • Woodbine , IA • March 13, 2015

An online search for LG washing machine parts came up with a repair video from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched the video. It was very well done, very detailed, and took you step by step through the entire process to replace the tub bearings and the spider, from start to finish. After watching the video, I realized this repair was well within my abilities. No specialized tools were needed. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros, and all items were in stock and delivered within a couple... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Front loader leaking from front and bottom   Kyle B. • Baltimore , MD • January 27, 2015

I think it was leaking both from the front and the bottom somehow. The boot seal was pretty cruddy anyways so I figured even if it was wrong, it was time to replace. You basically had to take the entire washing machine top and front off. This takes a little bit of time and organization but is relatively easy. While you are doing all this you might as well clean all the filters and make sure none of the valves and tubes are leaking. Getting it apart was pretty easy. The hard part is putting the... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ue error code just before going into spin cycle on my lg tromm front load washer model wm2077   Richard B. • Cheshire , CT • September 07, 2014

Replace the ball sensor. Also known as the out of balance sensor . Another confirmatory clue was when I ran the QC diagnostics . The moment I ran the first diagnostic test, the spin test, I got a bE (ball sensor) error code in the display and the drum would rotate slowly. When I replaced the sensor the drum ran at very hig speed the moment I entered the diagnostic. This was a good way to confirm in a few seconds that the sensor fixed the problem without having to run a wash load and waiting... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The drum was loose and vibrating when the spinning cycle got activated.   Jose B. • Winter Springs , FL • March 14, 2014

I removed the drum and found that the spider was totally broken. Decided to order a new drum with the spider. The item came as expected, only took a couple of days, replace it and voila, a got a washer fixed. Just want to mention that because of that problem, the tub cover and the gasket connected to the door needed to be replaced too because we waited to long to see that there was a problem with the vibration of the drum during the spinning cycle.
