Replace the ball sensor. Also known as the out of balance sensor . Another confirmatory clue was when I ran the QC diagnostics . The moment I ran the first diagnostic test, the spin test, I got a bE (ball sensor) error code in the display and the drum would rotate slowly. When I replaced the sensor the drum ran at very hig speed the moment I entered the diagnostic. This was a good way to confirm in a few seconds that the sensor fixed the problem without having to run a wash load and waiting... Read more
I removed the drum and found that the spider was totally broken. Decided to order a new drum with the spider. The item came as expected, only took a couple of days, replace it and voila, a got a washer fixed. Just want to mention that because of that problem, the tub cover and the gasket connected to the door needed to be replaced too because we waited to long to see that there was a problem with the vibration of the drum during the spinning cycle. Ordered new rotor, with integrated Hub, but it arrived damaged (there was a broken magnet). I was able to use the new hub on my old rotor (3 bolts attach it, but you can't buy just the Hub). Started Chat session with Appliance Parts Pro today and they issued a replacement and 20% off next order, plus the shipping - it was painless. Replacement is a breeze. Read more
Washer kept unbalancing, I found one of the shocks had lost it's pin. I replaced the three shock absorbers, springs and also water valves since the old ones were clogged. The top comes off very easily (two screws) to access the water valves. I used a hand truck to lay it on it's side and with the back removed I had access to everything without taking the front off. through the back and large access hole in the bottom, a major time saver. After checking online for a replacement Gasket I was informed that the Spider Arm could be broken and after watching the Appliance Parts Pro video, I dismantled the washing machine and found that the Aluminum Spider Arm, which was resting on the dissimilar metal of the Stainless Steel Tub, was in fact broken in 3 places. After receiving the new parts in about 2 days as promised, I sprayed the new Aluminum Spider Arm with about 5 coats of White Epoxy Appliance paint and allowed it to dry over... Read more
