Obtained the replacement motor and tray coupler from Appliance Parts Pro. Video of the typical replacement was very helpful to show what to expect and how to replace the motor and coupler. The removal of the bottom plate was held in place by several phillips screws. The motor was attached with two torx screws. I took plenty of pictures with my phone to remind me how the components came apart but it was pretty straight forward. Once the new parts were in and everything was reassembled the microwave worked good as new. The repair was less than a third the cost of replacement and no special tools are required. Brought a mounting bracket and i installed it. The difficulty came in finding the location of the top holes in the microwave. The best way to find center of the two holes is to take the microwave cover off. Position the cover in the opening. Then drill a small hole through the center of the hole into the cabinet. Read more
