The grill vent is only held in place by two screws. Super simple fix. Remove the two screws and the old grill vent, position the new vent and put the two screws back in. Replacing the cord required that cabinet to be removed. Lots of screws on the back, top and bottom. Once the screws were removed, the cabinet pulled back. Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. This is a metal mounting bracket that secures the evaporator fan motor in place inside the freezer compartment. It ensures the fan motor is properly positioned to circulate cold air throughout the refrigerator and freezer sections.
