Replaced the drain pump and the drain hose (since I was replacing the drain pump). The new drain pump seems to pump out the water more forcefully than the one replaced. Have not received a LD code during the wash cycle since the replacement was installed. Read more

Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. I put all pieces that I ordered on the dryer and plugged it in. Read more

I ordered two replacement baffles and screws, then lifted the top of the dryer to access the drum and installed the two new baffles. Read more

Ordered the shaft, bearing, seal kit. I didn’t order the tool to press the bearings in. If you’re not experienced in changing bearings, I suggest you order it. Straight forward repair. The top of my Whirlpool Cabrio comes off differently than the video showed, everything else was spot on. The adhesive is tacky...wear surgical gloves, trust me. One more thing, get a 1-1/4 “ short box wrench for taking off the shaft bit. Read more

I replaced a broken part which attaches the hinge to the lid spring assembly and replaced both hinges which were twisted/bent. The springs themselves were ok but a part in the assembly had broken so one spring was shouldering the entire weight of the lid and the hinges had twisted. This machine is not that old and it seems as though the glass lid is a little too heavy for the hinges. I was very impressed with how easy it was to locate the replacement parts online and how fast they showed up. Read more
