Once you tilt the washer and prop it against something it's a pretty straight forward and easy fix. If you watch the instructional "How-to" video beforehand, the repair should take between 30 to 60 minutes. It all depends on your skill level and if everything goes smoothly. Make sure you have all the proper tools, grease and blue thread lock at the ready to help you move this repair along faster. This repair was in conjunction with replacing the motor position sensor. I didn't know I needed a new motor stator until I took everything apart. The motor stator was cracked in two places, prompting me to purchase a new one. Be forewarned that you'll be working in sort of an awkward position, which might make your repair take a tad longer than you would care for.

I diagnosed the problem to be the main shaft bearings by turning the tube with my hand. I could feel and hear the bearing grinding as I spun the tub. Watched the video supplied by AppliancePartsPros. which help me do the tare down found that it was indeed the bearings and found the stator was cracked in 4 places. Then ordered the parts. The video helped me put the machine back together.

Replaced Stator, Rotor, RPS as well as tub bearings.

I pulled the tub to make sure nothing was wedged in it and cleaned the filter,replaced the 4 spring supports,f 51 is rotor position sensor code,replaced stator it had large cracks in it, also replaced sensor and wiring that came with kit,thanks for all the great videos, my next washer will be a speed queen, getting the tub out was the hardest,my machine is real old, i used a 2/4 and jack to pull the tub, good luck to everyone you can do it, rob san diego
