Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Wahser made a loud noise in spin cycle   Michael Z. • Indianapolis , IN • October 18, 2014

I suspected the tub gears where ready to break so I dismantled my LG WM2032HW front load washer. I found the spyder gear corroded and broken. I also found that the stainless steel drum abraded the front tub cover so bad, it was cracked. My washer is an early model and always had standing water in the door seal after a wash. What I learned is LG stopped making the orginal front tub cover and replaced it with one that had a drain hole at the bottom front edge. I also learned that this new... Read more

Tub Assembly
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: AJQ75298102

This washer tub assembly is the stationary outer tub that surrounds the spin basket and contains the wash water. Replacing a cracked or damaged tub helps stop leaks and restores proper clearance for smooth, quiet washing and spinning.

  • Creates a watertight chamber around the basket to hold wash and rinse water
  • Maintains proper basket clearance; damage can cause rubbing or scraping sounds
  • Provides connection points for hoses and water-level components
  • Common signs it may be needed: leaks from the tub area, visible cracks or warping, persistent out-of-balance/spin errors, or internal scraping/grinding noises
What's included: 1 tub assembly Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and water; shut off supplies and safely drain remaining water
  • This is a major repair—allow time and consider a second person to help lift/support the tub
  • Transfer model-specific parts from the original tub to the new tub as needed; reinstall all clamps, bolts, and sensors securely
  • After reassembly, level the washer, and run a test cycle to check for leaks

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Lg washer leaking door boot   Galyen R. • Madras , OR • May 12, 2017

Ordered boot, nozzle, and inner spring for boot. Would have ordered outer, but the schematic for parts made it very difficult to navigate to locate parts...24 hr/next day air and I have a happy wife. The only thing that would have made it easier, was having a pair of Spring Expansion pliers, be careful not to pinch inner boot! Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The washer appeared to be leaking   Michael M. • Newbury , MA • December 14, 2015

Based on info around the web and your site I chose to replace all of the bellowed hoses (3) in the machine, as I did not know which bellow was leaking without taking the washer apart first. If one hose was old enough to leak I figured the others were not far behind. The appliance parts pros videos were very helpful, although I chose to replace the drum drain bellows via access through the rear panel thereby saving myself the time of disassembling the front of the machine, as was instructed. Dryer Drum Baffle
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 4433ER1003A

This is a plastic lifter baffle that mounts inside the dryer drum. It tumbles and lifts clothes as the drum rotates, promoting even airflow and efficient drying. Replace this part if it is cracked, broken, or missing, which can result in clothes bunching together, uneven drying, or loud thumping noises during operation.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Noticed a noisy washer (clunk at each rotation) indicating a worn bearing or broken mount of some kind found shavings of plastic in the filter   Terry H. • Gulf Breeze , FL • May 13, 2017

Disassembled & found a poorly made spindle (spider) that was broken on each of 3 spokes. Heavy corrosion after 12 years of usage so can't complain. The removal of the spider bolts were difficult due to the seized up bolts causing the nuts in the lifter assemblies to strip & spin inside the plastic housing. Easily removed but now I had to order new lifters delaying the repair. The drum wore a groove inside the tub housing that almost cut it in half. I was able to clean up the grooves & fill by... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You LE error code drum does not spin   David S. • Victoria , TX • May 18, 2019

I initially replaced the rotator sensor located on the stator assembly. That didn’t fix the problem. So I ordered the stator assembly and the wire harness. After replacing both parts, the washer works great. Not sure if it was the stator or the harness but felt I would leave it as is to prevent any future problems that may occur with old parts.
