Bought the new glass cook top, installed it, & viola.....no more huge cracks in my cook top! It wasn't had to do & only needed a phillips screwdriver. Took about 30 minutes or so, only cause I like double checking...any do-it-yourself-er can handle it! Read more

A repairman quoted approx. $500 to replace the glass cook top. I went on line and ordered the part from Appliancepros.com for less than half that amount. They also emailed me specific directions on how to instal. My husband and son finished the job in about 20 minutes. I feel so good about saving lots of money. Read more

Removal and replacement were easy. I did have some issues figuring out which replacement switch was correct (I didn't access the switch first). Eventually deciding that I had the correct model's switches and that since it was the largest burner. It had to be the highest watt switch. Read more

We ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros...they arrived just as scheduled. Hubby installed the two switches, but when he tightened down a bit too much and shattered the glass on the touch panel, which is discontinued from the manufacturer, so we'll be out buying a new range anyways! First replaced the thermostat. That worked for one use. I called an appliance repair person. They came with two common parts that fail. The thermostat and the oven sensor probe. They tested the thermostat I installed and it was good. They then spent an hour testing everything else. Everything else tested good. They kept coming back to this relay.
