Worked with phone person at AppliancePartsPros and determined problem could be either the latch motor or the circuit board. Ordered parts for both the latch motor and the control circuit board. Since a relay on the board was clicking and the motor would not budge, I installed them both and oven is working again!! Replaces the false bottom panel that covers the lower oven interior. Needed when the original is discolored, warped, burnt, or damaged beyond cleaning.
Replaced it with a new one. Had to remove the oven door which was straight forward. The door's a little heavy so be sure to get a good hold and have a place prepared to set the door while you replace the bottom. False bottom simply slides in and out. Reinstalling the door is a little trickier than removing it. Mine was the bottom oven so I couldn't see the hinges align with oven slots. It helped to have some guide the hinges into the slots and confirm they were correctly set. Read more
