In the past the temperature would change from one day to the next, remain constant for weeks then start rising again. Would unplug for 5 – 10 min and adjust temp and would work fine. The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting.
