Fix loud fan noise and poor cooling with a new evaporator fan blade. Restores airflow across coils. Moderately difficult install in tight freezer space.
This evaporator fan motor dust cap is an authentic OEM replacement part found on refrigerator and freezer fan motors. This dust cap prevents the fan motor bearing and housing from being damaged by dirt and debris. If the dust cap is cracked or broken, the fan may make loud squealing noises. If the dust cap is not removed and replaced, the fan could stop working and ultimately cause the refrigerator's temperature to be affected. To start, disconnect the power and water to the refrigerator. Remove food from the freezer so that the back panel of the freezer can be accessed to reach the fan. Remove the ice maker and set it outside the freezer. Disconnect the fan and take it out of the freezer to expose the fan's shaft and the dust cover. Pry the dust cover off and install the new one. Replace the fan and cover. Reconnect the wires and reinstall the icemaker. Put the food back in the freezer. Reconnect the power and water. The evaporator fan motor dust cap is a white plastic part that is sold individually. This dust cover is made for use in refrigerators manufactured by General Electric, Hotpoint, and Kenmore.

Protective grille cover that mounts over the temperature sensor in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to properly shield the sensor.
Common theme on the blogs was thermistors and or defrost heater/thermostat. Ran self-diagnostics which turned on defrost heater which was fine. All five thermistors indicated ok on diagnostic also, but I read more than one time "replace the thermistors no matter what if your FF section isn't cooling". So I ordered all five thermistors and defrost limiter thermostat. Received all in 48 hours (great shipping service), took me about three hours to replace all thermistors and thermostat just as... Rubber grommet that mounts the evaporator or condenser fan motor to its bracket. Replace when worn, cracked, or missing to reduce vibration and noise.
Condenser fan stopped on my big 2003 Monogram 4 foot wide ZIS480D Refrigerator. It is top mounted. The fridge had to be rolled out. 20 screws removed and the top sheet metal to get at the condenser. That was the only way to get at it. Works like new now. Read more

No water from dispenser or ice maker? This water inlet valve assembly controls water flow into your refrigerator. DIY-friendly repair in about 2 hours.
I purchased a replacement water valve assembly and a replacement water reservoir from AppliancePartsPros and researched some online videos to learn how to replace both these items, including all new water tubing. In the online process, I utilized "how-to" videos from AppliancePartsPros, too. Installing the water reservoir proved the most tricky, mostly because it was tricky feeding the tubing under the refrigerator. By comparison, installing the valve assembly and running new tubing for it was... Read more
Plastic tubing that routes water through your refrigerator's system. Replace if cracked, brittle, kinked, or leaking to restore proper flow and prevent damage.
I replace the water inlet valve in my refrigerator about 8 months ago. About a week ago, the old plastic water line broke. I forgot how the water line connector worked and broke the valve trying to pull it out. I got a new valve and replacement water line, and it went in easily, just like the video said. Morals of the story: 1. Know how to remove the old plastic water line. I could have saved myself the price of a new valve if I'd remembered how the connector worked. Unless you have a really... Fix dark refrigerator interior with this LED lighting transformer. Restores consistent illumination when doors open. Challenging install, 1-2 hours.
Tested the input voltage of the transformer (located at the bottom of the fridge) at 125V. Tested the output voltage and was only getting 1 volt. Ordered the listed new transformer, installed it, which was a major pain in the A*&^^& just not a lot of room to work with, but did get in in and "voila" the LED panel worked again! Very quick shipping from Appliance Parts Pros which included the correct part, Thank you. Read more
This icing kit is a factory update designed to reduce frost build-up in the ice/dispenser area. It improves sealing and insulation to help keep the ice path clear and restore reliable dispensing performance.
Firstly, the Ice Door had a kink in the edge, which caused it to stay open and create lots of frost on the coils. $5.00 part, highly recommend it. (By the way, the new door was little too big and it too stay propped open and left a gap so I had to trim the top edge of the rubber with scissors to get it to fully close.) Secondly, there are two heaters for the defrost cycle, one that goes around the coils and another attached to a collector pan beneath the coils. When the cycle hits, those... Read more
