Opened the back of machine and saw that a mouse had eaten holes in all but one of the rubber hoses. Took the top off the machine for better access. Very easy fix. Chome grate/grille pops out by hand. Drip tray was two Philips screws. I wiped down the area with cleaning vinegar to remove some hard water stains, rinsed it down then put everything back. There is in an in-between tray that you could also replace but mine wasn't too bad, so I only did the grille and the bottom tray. Read more

Our washing machine door boot seal was getting moldy and causing odor problems. Cleaning tablets and bleach weren't helping so it was time to be replaced. While I had the top and front off I changed all the hoses that could be collecting soap scum and mold, all other wetted parts were removed and washed. Ordered both parts from Appliancepartspros.com. The pictures of the website made it easy to order the correct parts. So far I've replaced the grill / kick plate. Took me longer to vacuum out the dust from the coils than it took to replace the part. Have not yet replaced the inner door panel. That will be a project for this coming weekend. After researching on the internet, I decided replacing the wave guide cover would be much cheaper than replacing the microwave. Plus I couldn't even find one that worked with the existing trim kit. Had a bit of difficulty removing the old cover, but the folks at Appliance Parts Pro answered my email question within 24 hours. I received the replacement part a day or so later. Unplug from electric socket. Pulled the washer away from the wall. Have a container ready to catch any water remaining in the hose. Remove the hose from the drain in the wall and drain into container. Unsnapped the hose from the guide on the back side of the washer and removed the plastic piece around the hose on the outside of the case where the hose enters the inside of the case.
